Warning!

This post is loaded with cuteness!

Ok, so I know I am biased because I'm her mom. Reese has always been cute to me, but today, today she took the cake! I could not get enough of this little girl! She was so cute I could just eat her up! Which, by the way, I don't understand this saying. Why would you want to eat something cute? Anyway, I was a bit obsessed with her this afternoon. I think it all started with these...

Be still my heart! Are these socks not the cutest things you've ever seen? What is not to love about them? Bows? check! Pink? check! Wanna know the best thing about these socks?? They come in an assortment of colors! Of course you need to have an array of anything this adorable. I wish I could take credit, but I must give Rebecca props for buying the accessory of the year!

My next obsession? Her bow. Boy do I love Reesey in a bow!

Yes, I believe those are the beginnings of fat rolls! LOVE!

That brings me to my next obsession... her chubby cheeks. She's looking like a baby people! Not just a preemie.

Do you not just want to pinch those?

My last obsession? Her dress. Who does not love a pink gingham dress? Not me!

I think even she's proud of her socks. Look how she's showing them off!

Why so dressed up? We went to the pulmonologist for her last of 3 Synagis shots! Woot woot! We are done with those.
After she is given the shot we have to wait for 30 minutes to make sure she does not have any type of reaction. What to do with an adorable baby girl for 30 minutes? Take pictures of course!  Thank goodness I put the camera away before the nurse walked back in. She would have thought I was a stalker for sure!

The only thing that would have made her cuter would have been earrings! I think that's on the agenda for the next week or so.

Love me a girl baby!

In Memory Of...

Jasper.

Remember him? Jaxon's class pet?  Well, Jasper passed away Monday morning at Ms. Courtney's house.  This has really affected Jaxon. He will not stop talking about it.

"I'm so sad."
"I didn't want Jasper to die."
"Why did Jasper die? He wasn't even old?"
"Do you know where Japer is? He's at Ms. Courtney's house. She's going to bury him."
"Do sharks die? How about penguins? Trees? Orca whales?" and on and on.

Poor little guy.

The one that breaks my heart the most? The connection he's made with Jasper's age and his age, "Jasper was 3. I'm 3. Does that mean I'm going to die?"

My favorite...
Jaxon - "Lola is going to die one day. When she dies, I'll get a new grandma."
Me- "Jaxon, you won't get a new grandma. Anyway you have Grammy Sue."
Jax - "Well, when Grammy Sue dies then I'll get a new grandma."
Me - "Nope, no new grandmas. You just won't have any grandmas."
Jax - "No grandmas? That makes me really sad."

Rest in Peace Jasper, you will be missed.

March Randomness

Here are a few random pictures from this month. I thought they were too cute not to share. Plus, I have stopped printing pictures and putting them in albums so when I DO print my blog I'll have my pictures in a nice neat book!

Jaxon's class is doing a Flat Stanley project. Flat Stanley is a little boy who gets flattened by a bulletin board and then goes on amazing adventures. The kids created their own flat self and chose someone out-of-state to send it to. Jaxon chose Brooks & Rebecca in Boise to send Flat Jaxon.

Flat Jaxon & Jaxon before sending Flat Jax to Idaho.
Yeah. He's not winning any artistic award.

Playing cars

Poor sweet, naughty Lucy who has been neglected since the kids have arrived.

Beautiful eyes

Does it not look like Lucy is posing too?

By the way... Reesey is laughing! Yup. She laughed for the first time on March 22 (this is my reminder to put it in her baby book). Of course she laughed with my mom first. Luckily I was here too to witness the glorious event. I quickly grabbed the video camera and what does she do? She cries. Sigh. Oh well. She's laughing... another milestone. A four month milestone! Yay!

Love her sweet face
On the last day of school one of Jaxon's classmates celebrated her 5th birthday by having a face painter at school. Jaxon chose to be Batman again. The funny thing to me was that the minute we got in the car he said, "Can I have a wipe. I want to take my paint off."

That same day, which was the last day before Spring Break, we had our annual carnival.
Riding the train

With one of his classmates, Violet

Pony Ride

Last weekend we went out to lunch. Jaxon was in charge of dressing himself. Now that I have an extra person to get out the door, I didn't take the time to look Jaxon over. when we arrived at Pei Wei I notice his jeans are backwards. Oops.

He could care less. Oh to be 3!
This month we also helped celebrate our friend, Joaquin's 3rd birthday.

The Lopez Family

Trying to get a picture.

Jaxon's new thing? Riding his tricycle from room to room in our house. He seriously rides from the living room to his bedroom. From his bedroom to our room. From our room to the kitchen. From the kitchen to the garage. It's a little ridiculous, but whatever.
But, let's take this a bit further and ride BUTT NAKED! Why not? He's 3. When else will this be socially acceptable?

Yesterday Jaxon went to his second dentist appointment. Our dental insurance changed so we had to choose a new dentist. I decided to take Jax to a pediatric dentist close to school. It was amazing! I mean, a jungle waiting room? It doesn't get much better for this animal lover!
Again, Jaxon was exceptional during his appointment. He even had x-rays taken. He came back and said, "She put a stick in my mouth and made me choke. And she put someone else's jacket on me."

Such a good boy. And no cavities!
Plus, we are doing an awesome job of brushing.
That's all for my randomness. We've had a pretty good month. It helps when 2 weeks of it are taken up with Spring Break. We may end our break with a trip to the new elephant exhibit at the zoo. It opens to members on Sunday. We'll see. Jax would be in heaven.

4 months

Holy cow! Reesey is 4 months! That is so hard for me to believe. Not because the time has flown by, but that she's only 4 months. I feel like she has been a part of our family for YEARS! Then at the same point I think, she's only 4 months and growing so fast. She's not my tiny little baby anymore.  Which is funny, because when strangers see her and ask how old she is, they always say, "She's so tiny." Well, she's not really, not if you knew her way back when. Which always leads me to the thought, do I over share? Do I tell them she was a preemie and REALLY she's only 2 months? I feel like I should because she isn't doing things that a normal 4 month old does, like hold her head up. She's still a bobble head. But really, strangers don't care.

Lucy is checking to make sure Reesey is ok.

Weight - 11 lbs. 10 oz (11th percentile for a 4 mo old)
Length - 24 inches (41st percentile)
Head circumference -  (5th percentile)

Sleep - She goes down for the night between 9:00pm - 10:00 pm and sleeps until 5:30am - 7:00am. She's awake for a little over an hour after each feeding and naps for about an hour & half.

She had a wild night

Eat - Reese is up to 7 oz still every 3 hours

Temperment - Still feisty! She is a very happy girl though... just don't mess with her beauty sleep

Likes/Dislikes - Reese loves a bath and being naked. She also loves her mobile & gets the biggest smile when he sees someone turn it on. She likes to be sung to & to look at herself in the mirror.
She dislikes being hungry, alone and tummy time.

Nicknames - Peesey (Me), Peanut (Brian), Reesey (everyone)

Clothes size -3 months

Language - She's a coo-er! She'll tell you all her woes if you ask her. She also "eh's" a lot.

Physical - Reese can almost hold her head up consistently. She is still quite wobbly though. She likes to suck on her fist when she finds it. Reese rolls over from belly to back.

I heart the headband.

The extra tummy time has helped! Look at that form!

Enough with tummy time...

time to roll over!

Success!

Leaving the happiest place on Earth... Target.
Jaxon was "gently" holding her hand
