Pearson's Go Pumpkin Pickin'!

October has been an exciting month for us! First the Bunches visit, then we go to Tucson, then we celebrate Brian's birthday and now we visit the Pumpkin Patch!

Before getting to the pumpkins we had to go through the corn maze

I was fascinated that there was actual corn in the corn stalks! Snackin' like always, not necessarily impressed with the corn maze. What awaited us at the end of the corn maze Jaxon "looking" for a pumpkin

The new friend Jaxon made.

Trying to rope the cow, notice that Jaxon is looking elsewhere Brian roping the cow. Notice Jaxon in the background? Notice his new friend near our wagon? Well, the friend started to take our jackets out of the wagon and Jaxon runs over there, wags his finger at him and says, "No, no, no!" Hee hee!

The petting zoo was the highlight of our trip! Jaxon LOVED all of the animals had had absolutely no fear. As soon as he discovered the animals he ran right over and put his hand through the fence to pet them! He also talked to them. He would go up to each one and say, "Hi", "Whoa", but my favorite was when he saw the calf... "Moo!" He was so happy!

Come here Alpaca! I wanna pet you!
Hi!

Moooo !

Feeding the baby horse. Again, Jax had no fear! He would pick up corn and grass off the ground and put it right in the animal's mouths.
I love my little family.

Should I take this pumpkin?

I think I want the one on this table!
Jaxon got a little tired so he decided to take a seat :)

Bye bye Pumpkin Patch!

Golf Upgrade

Remember a few months back when Brian bought Jaxon some play golf clubs? Well, he has been upgraded to the real thing!

Watch out Lucy! This kid is dangerous

Taking them out on the course. He may be the first golfer with a one-handed swing!

Happy Birthday Brian!

Last week was Brian's 33rd birthday! We didn't do much to celebrate as a family since Jaxon & I were in Tucson, which Brian said was a great birthday present since he was able to play golf all weekend! When we got home, I did make Brian his favorite dessert, chocolate chip cookies, put a candle in one and we sang happy birthday!

Jaxon really wants that cookie!

Don't hold me back Dada! (or Mami as Jaxon like to sometimes call him :) )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN!

WE LOVE YOU... even if you are OLD (or older as he likes to say)

I think I'm Cursed

Seriously, I truly think I am! This summer when we went to San Diego, we tried going to the Children's Museum, and if you remember it wasn't there! Two weeks ago, when the Bunches came to visit we went to the Pumpkin Patch and there was no one there to let us in, then we went to the Balloon Glow and it was cancelled! So, why would our latest trip to Tucson be any different?
Jaxon and I flew to Tucson last weekend to see Grammy Sue, Lola & Abuelo. Grammy Sue suggested we go to the zoo on Saturday. GREAT! We will get some fresh air and enjoy some warm weather. Grammy Sue, Lola, Jaxon & I arrive at the zoo at 12:15 pm. As we are approaching the entrance we hear another family say, "It's closed." Huh?? The zoo is closed that can't be right, it's Saturday, zoos don't close on the weekends. Well, apparently, on the Saturday we decided to see the animals, the zoo closed early (at 12:00!) for a charity event, Zoocson. Can you believe our luck?? See, I'm cursed!

We decided to ride the teeny tiny train around Reid Park and then feed the ducks instead.

Jaxon's ready to go!

Train ride is over

After the train, we were off to feed the ducks. Well, sort of. It was more like feed Jaxon since every piece of popcorn I gave him he ate himself instead of throwing it into the pond. Another problem we had was that Jaxon was so excited to see the ducks that he wanted to jump into the pond to try to pet one.

Grammy Sue & Jax. Notice where Jaxon's left hand is...

Forget the ducks, feed me!

Obviously, Jaxon was hungry so we decided to go to lunch. Applebees here we come!

Can you guess what Jaxon had for lunch?

We can't forget Abuelo!

Jaxon & Abuelo, or Ahuevo as Jax affectionately calls him!

In case you hadn't figured it out yet, Jaxon LOVES to eat! At my mom's house he discovered the pretzels in the pantry and spent most of his time opening the pantry and bringing me the pretzels. Saying, "Ees, Ees." (please, please)

Sometimes he wasn't so polite

Let me show you how to open them, Mama

We will all be back in Tucson for Thanksgiving! We hope to see many more of you then and if we don't, maybe during Christmas break.

The Bunches invade Albuquerque!

Yup, that's right, the Bunches packed up their Durango and drove to Albuquerque to visit the Pearsons! We were SUPER excited for this visit and it did not disappoint. Before I go on, I must say how impressed Brian & I are with Brian & Ami. They really make raising triplets look easy (which it is clearly not!) Colton, Ethan & Hunter are such well behaved, wonderful, happy babies. We figured that while they were here they probably wouldn't sleep as well, wouldn't take naps, etc. Boy were we wrong! They napped and slept through the night each night they were here. Ami, I am amazed by you :)

Jaxon was so happy and good with the babies. He absolutely loved them and if one would cry he would "run" over and say, "Ba-by" with a very concerned look one his face. He played with them made them laugh and checked on them often. I was so happy to see how much he loved Colton, Ethan & Hunter. He loved them so much that once they left he walked around the house saying, "ba-by, ba-by." He even called for the babies in his sleep!

"Ethan, let me show you how this works."

"Hey Colton. How ya doin'?"

These are the cutest babies EVER!

Jaxon hangin' with the boys before bedtime! Yes, it was chilly in Rio Rancho!

Once all 4 babies went to bed, we hit the fire pit for cigars, wine, & burnt marshmallows!

With our "fun" spouses!

We are brave souls. We took 3 babies & 1 toddler to the Rio Grande Zoo

Entering the zoo.

"Hunter, this zoo is great! You are going to have so much fun!"

Jaxon was obviously not very fond of the kiddy leash. Needless to say, it didn't last long at all!

What a life!

We even had a BBQ!

Balloon Glow at Balloon Fiesta 2009.... or maybe not.

This was the first weekend of the Balloon Fiesta and were were excited to go see a balloon glow, which is when all of the balloons light up their burners at the same time and they "glow". It is pretty amazing, but alas, it was cancelled! We dragged all 4 kids for no reason. As soon as we stepped onto the Balloon Fiesta Park, the wind picked up and the glow was cancelled. We were sad, but at least we got to see the fireworks!

Getting ready to walk to Balloon Fiesta Park. We are quite the spectacle :)

Feeding babies before we head back home. How cute is Ethan in his beanie?

No one is sadder about the cancellation than Colton!
