A Day at the Park
This past week has been unusually warm in Albuquerque and only getting better. Today was the best day (63 degrees! Almost hot!) so Brian and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and take Jaxon to the park for the first time. Of course my camera came along, as you've gathered, I'm not one to let a "first" go by undocumented. I must admit I did feel a bit silly taking so many pictures, but who cares he's our first baby! He loved it all, from the swings to the slide to watching other kids run around I think he had a blast. He must of, because we weren't even out of the parking lot and he was sound asleep!

Jax & Lucy
This is hilarious! At least I thought so. Here's the set up... Jaxon and I had just come home and Lucy had gotten ahold of a water bottle. For those of you who know Lucy, know how spastic she gets when she has a water bottle, for those who don't will soon find out! Anywhoodle, I am holding Jaxon and looking through our junk drawer when all of a sudden Jax tries to fly out of my arms at Lucy at starts laughing hysterically! Thankfully I had the video camera handy. It is a little shaky since I am holding him and trying to tape at the same time. So if you get motion sickness, you may want to take a Dramamine before you hit play. Enjoy!

Sweet Gesture
I just wanted to share that my kinders aren't all naughty. Yesterday, one of my little girls, who speaks very limited English and is very quiet, comes to me and hands me a little plastic bottle. It is filled with water. I ask her what it is and in her broken English she says, "It is for Baby Jaxon. He do no bad." It was Holy Water! How sweet! and appropriate since we just went to church this weekend! I was very touched that she thought of me and my baby and brought us Holy Water. This is one of the many reasons I teach, I love my job!

No, the World Has Not Come To An End!
I thought that maybe the end was near this Sunday.... The Pearson's went to church!! No kidding, no one was as surprised as I when Brian actually said, "Sure we can go to church this weekend." It had been YEARS since we had stepped inside a church, but this being a new year and all I thought, "Why not?"
Surprisingly, or not so much, we were a bit late. Thankfully, this is New Mexico and people were still walking in during the Priest's homily (15 minutes in). Anyway, Jaxon did pretty well. He loved people watching and made friends with the lady next to us. He also made an "enemy" with the little boy in front of us. When it was time to kneel, I sat him on the edge of the pew in front of us. There was a little boy, maybe 2 years old, who was sitting down eating cheerios. Jax thought it would be fun to smack him on the head and pull his hair! Oh dear. The boy looks at Jax and says, "Ow". Then tell his mom that the baby hit him. He didn't keep his eyes off of Jaxon the rest of the mass, just in case!
The best part of the entire mass was by far when everyone sang. Jaxon didn't want to miss out on any of the action so he too sang along with the choir! It was too cute! I wish we had a video camera. It was all Brian and I could do not to laugh out loud. He was most intrigued by the lady next to us (the one he befriended). Every time she would sing, he would look at her and then try to imitate her. He is too much!

I Wanna Move Back!
I was just checking Ami's blog and noticed that it had been over a week since I wrote anything in mine! Oh dear. I don't know why I feel like it needs to be updated weekly, but I do. This is my new obsession I suppose.
I wanted to blog & post pictures about New Year's and our 3rd Annual Christmas Crafts & Cookies Disaster/War, but my pictures are stuck in my camera and Ami beat me to it. Frankly, Ami did a much better job of describing these 2 events than I ever would. So if you are interested check out her blog. By the way, these are the 2 things I look forward to the most during Christmas Break.
The Pearson's had a great time in Tucson! While yes, we sometimes complain that it is too long to be away from our NM home and out of our normal routines, we (mainly me) are very sad to leave. It never fails, every time we drive away from my parent's house I cry and mope for at least an hour into the drive. I don't know why because it's not like I won't be back in 2 months! But I still do and a little (ok very big) part of me just wants to move back. I think the part that makes me the saddest now is that Jaxon doesn't get to spend as much time with his grandparents as I and they would like. So anyway (before I get sappy and sad all over again), we enjoyed our time in The Old Pueblo and were happy to spend time with all of our very dear friends & family. We will be back soon... for the birth of my favorite triplets! We have to check out our future daughter-in-law :)
