We Love You Blue Puppy!

I would like to pay homage to Jaxon's Blue Puppy. Blue Puppy, or as Jax affectionately calls him, "Papi", is probably the most loved & looked after "person" in our household! Jax absolutely LOVES his Papi! He will not sleep without him and has now taken to carrying him everywhere! If we put Jaxon to bed without Papi Jaxon screams bloody murder. Once we hand him over Jaxon's face lights up and he squeals with delight. Jax tries crawling into his crib to "rescue" Papi from a day of loneliness. Brian and I are terrified that he will get lost somewhere, so he have spent this summer in search for a replacement Papi in case that terrible day ever comes. However, we have had no luck. We have found a blue puppy that is similar and thought, "ok, it should be good enough." NOT SO MUCH!! We have tried to give him the "impostor" and Jax will throw him at us. He has started taking Papi to the baby sitter's house and apparently she has an exact replica! Well, she says that Jaxon will have nothing to do with her puppy. He wants his and only his. How does he know the difference?!?!

Here are a few pictures of Jaxon & Papi

Can you feel the love he has for Papi?

This is what Jaxon looks like when he wants Papi & isn't getting to him fast enough!

Someone gave us blue puppy as a gift at one of my baby showers and I honestly cannot remember who, but I would like to give a big THANK YOU to that person! This has given Jaxon lots of love and comfort this past year.

Love Bites...

Literally! Jaxon has started the biting phase of his toddler-hood. I think it is a tad bit early, but hey, maybe it means it will go away sooner! I am hoping he only shows this kind of love to his parents and not to any of his friends at the baby sitter's house!

Here is just one of Jaxon's "Love Bites"
Can you say, "Ouch!" It wasn't just bruised, it also became a welt!

Well, good ole Karma came back to Jaxon. He was playing in the laundry room the other day and somehow managed to get into the pop-up hamper I have in there. He couldn't quite get out as easily and ended up with a pretty big bruise on his noggin! The best part about it was that the bruise had the indentation of the netting!

I love the look of panic on his face!

This is why I think all toddlers should wear helmets!
