Let Summer Begin!

Summer started in early May in the Pearson house.  Brian heated the pool and we all spent an afternoon swimming.  

Like all proper girls, Reese had to put on a little makeup before heading out. 

With a makeup and goggles in place Reese was ready! 

Jaxon had to try out his new snorkel and mask by jumping in. He quickly learned that a snorkel does not work well underwater. 

Never one to be left behind. Reese had to have her turn jumping in. Yes, she's naked. This is how she prefers to swim. The bathing suit did not last long. "I no want to get it wet." Hmmm. Well, isn't that the point of a bathing suit? But you try to reason with Reese, it is just not possible. 

If jumping in wasn't enough, she had to slide head first into the pool. The girl is fearless!

Pure Joy

Remember how fun it was to run in the sprinklers as a kid? I had kinda forgotten how exciting it was until the other day when Jaxon asked us to run with him. So fun to run like a crazy person,

a la Phoebe from Friends.

To Be Young & Care Free

This evening was spent in my very favorite way... outside with my boy & dog running around having a blast. These days, being outside means bubbles & water.

But, before we headed outside, Jaxon put on his new Diego sunglasses. He was so proud of himself because he put them on himself...

"I did it! I put on!"

Oh no, your eyes aren't deceiving you, they are indeed on upside down!

LOVE IT! Now time for some water! The point of the hose is to fill up his little plastic pool. But Jaxon being your typical 2 year old, has his own agenda.

He felt the rocks were thirsty.

"Yook! I wader gwass."

Then he watered the owie on his foot.

And then he watered Mama.

While all of this watering was going on, Lucy was wandering if she should get in the pool.

Jaxon finally decided to join her.

He refused to take his shirt off, but after a minute of it being wet, he FREAKED out and had to have it off

Then he got cold & hungry, so in we went where he had to put on his robe (per his request) and have a bowl full of snack (another Jaxon request... yes, he is quite bossy that little one!)

After his snack it was time to "breafe" and watch Diego with a nice cold glass of orange juice.

Thanks to Brooks & Rebecca, Jax no longer has to share his little share with Lucy. He has a nice big chair with his name on it that Lucy is not allowed to sit on.

While the Cat's Away the Mice Will Play

That's what Jaxon did while his Mama & Daddy were in Hawaii! Jaxon & Lucy stayed with my parents ("Yoya & Abu") in Tucson and had loads of fun. Well, Jax and Luce had fun, my mom got laryngitis, an ear infection & pink eye.

Jaxon & Lucy played with bubbles & in the water table every morning.

Lucy likes to drink from the table & maybe steal a toy or two.

If Lucy can drink from the water table, why can't Jaxon?

He also tried getting in the water table.

He ate ice cream

He wore "Abu's toe boy hat" (cowboy hat)

He climbed in the furniture

He went "night night on floor with Papi"

Jaxon also had to "work" at "Yoya & Abu's" house. Our poor little guy has asthma, so he has to do a breathing treatment twice a day every day.

"NO more breafe!"
